Description
SP250-A01, a Wi-Fi 6 tri-band outdoor bridge for long distance transmission, is able to provide 8 spatial streams and maximum throughput up to 6,574Mbps. With two 2.5Gbps Multi-Gig ports and one built-in 4*4 directional high-gain antenna and two 2*2 Omni antenna, it provides wireless coverage and point to point transmission with reliability and efficiency and supports up to 1,536 clients simultaneously.
As technology advances, people’ life can be inseparable from internet. In the decade, the throughput and reliable link operating in high bandwidth become more and more important while the demands of end users for upload and download sizes increased and require higher quality of data transmission of online games and HD video streams. Facing the scarcity of available spectrum, telecom and network carriers are looking to fulfill the gap with high frequency bands below 6GHz. When deploying sub-6 GHz band solutions to support mission-critical applications, the system must be able to withstand various environments and SP250-A01, designed by Z-COM meets carrier’s demand for reliable point to point backhaul link solutions with high performance, high bandwidth and high scalability.
For typical applications, SP250-A01 with up to 38dBm EIRP can achieve a link budget with a longer communication distance and achieve a connection with longer distance communication than other similar communication systems.
The throughput of SP250-A01 operating at 5GHz, in high bandwidth of 160MHz can be 4.8Gbps based on the latest Wi-Fi technology of 802.11 ax. The real outdoor test result shows that the throughput can reach to 1.2Gbps between two points which distance is 2 KM. (Contact us for more details.)

Besides, Z-COM and telecom carrier together simulated to replace optic fiber connected to 5G base station with SP250 series and then simulated end users to test the throughput by mobile phones and compare with the uplink and downlink throughput of optic fibers.

Therefore, when telecom carriers deploy to the next-generation 4G network such as LTE, it is strongly recommended to use the frequency band below 6 GHz as backhaul links, in additional, accurate timing and frequency reference signals are critical to support interoperability, frequency reuse, and flexible scalability. Therefore, it is very important for telecom carrier to support IEEE 1588v2 (PTP) Precision Time Protocol.
SP250-A01, the outdoor bridge complies with the IEEE 1588v2 standard and can support Precision Time Protocol (PTP). There is no need to worry for telecom carriers when the base stations are connected to SP250-A01 that packet data cannot be synchronized and the time gap affects the service quality of comprehensive network.
