Z-COM Partners with Lufeng Elementary School to Promote ESG Educational Engagement

Hands-On Exploration of Wireless Network Technology for Students and Teachers
[April 14, 2025 – Hsinchu] On April 10, 2025, Z-COM invited 17 students and faculty members from the 5th and 6th grades of Lufeng Elementary School in Hsinchu County to participate in an educational company visit. Through an engaging, hands-on learning experience at Z-COM’s headquarters, students had the opportunity to explore the development process of wireless communication products and gain insights into the world of wireless technology—part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ESG education outreach.
The visit included an introduction to the company, basic internet and networking concepts, a walkthrough of the product design process, and a demonstration of hardware circuit design. Students experienced hands-on measurement using real circuit boards. During the hardware lab tour, they observed engineers testing RF signals and even tried out ESD (electrostatic discharge) simulation devices themselves. Z-COM's SE engineers explained how Wi-Fi signals are transmitted and tested using relatable, real-world language to help the students learn through interaction.
In the QE lab, students learned how products undergo environmental reliability tests such as high/low temperature cycles and drop/vibration tests. They also toured the production line to understand how products are assembled and tested in their final stages. To make learning even more fun and engaging, students participated in a brief software session and an interactive packet transmission game to explore how data is delivered over networks. The visit concluded with a quiz-style Q&A game and the awarding of participation certificates and small gifts to all students.
The children actively participated and asked insightful questions throughout the visit. Accompanying teachers shared that the visit was informative and inspiring—it not only complemented classroom learning but also gave students the chance to get close to real-world technology and sparked their curiosity about future possibilities.
This event was not only a memorable learning opportunity but also a reflection of Z-COM’s ESG values.
