Project Brief

SMB can get bulk orders from aboard via internet due to the popularity of internet. Protection of customer’s confidential information is critical both for big companies and SMB. SMB also needs a private network to protect internal confidential data and authenticate users accessing to the private network to protect the network security.

This project is for SMB office in New Taipei city. For SMB, performing network deployments can be challenging due to limited staff. Z-Com assisted the company pre-stage equipment and visit each site to perform the installation, offering a secure and centralized managed network.

Network Deployment

To ensure the reliability, security, easy usage and expansion of network, Z-Com uses WLC to centrally manage TAPs. WLC is able to automatically adjust TX power, managing the power of all APs connected to the network to prevent interference caused by overlapped powers and optimize Wi-Fi signals. It can select and distribute channels to the managed APs via the automatic channel allocation function. Besides, Z-Com rearranged the deployment of APs to improve the range of wireless coverage.

Achievement

The SMB office has a secure and reliable Wi-Fi network via Z-Com network system. SMB is able to optimize network through the WLC which can centrally manage all APs, optimize parameter and analyze problem by remote monitoring automatically. After re-planning the network structure, the wireless coverage range can extend to the offices and conference rooms at border area so that con-call meeting will run smoothly or without missing important calls. The overall efficiency is enhanced.
